Rebate payments to continue!! (ESKOM Announcement: 30 June 2011)
ESKOM got additional funding for the rebate programme on solar geyser systems for the 2011/2012 financial year.
What is the rebate? In order to reduce the growing demand for electricity, Eskom provides financial assistance in the form of a rebate to assist hot water consumers to convert to solar.
The highest rebate allocated (after the previous reduction in rebate amounts on 3 June 2011) by Eskom is R5332 per system. The Eskom rebate for the systems we install varies between R4000 and R5332.
Purchasing a system that is registered on the Eskom programme ensures that the system and the supplier have been checked and audited to the SABS minimum standard for solar water heaters, not only safeguarding you as a consumer but also giving you greater assurance of the system’s quality. Buying an Eskom registered system means you qualify for a rebate, making your purchase good value for money. (ESKOM's website)
The first step:
Contact Solar Juice to visit your house to do measurements and discuss different options with you, followed by a detailed quote. This is a free service for the Western Cape.
How does the rebate work? After installation and receiving your full final payment, we will assist you with the rebate claiming process. An Eskom claim form, together with a copy of: your ID, prepaid electricity box number, and bank account details (for the rebate money to be paid in), is send to Deloitte. Deloitte will send you a sms as soon as they receive your claim. The claim is paid within 8 weeks into your bank account.
We thank Eskom for the rebate money paid to all our satisfied customers. |
